    Sam Palmisano<\/strong> is Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of the IBM Corporation.   Mr. Palmisano was appointed to this position on January 6, 2003.  Previously, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer.    <\/p>\n

    He began his career in 1973 in Baltimore, Maryland.  Since then, Mr. Palmisano has held a series of leadership positions during his IBM career, including senior vice president for the Enterprise Systems and Personal Systems groups.  Mr. Palmisano also played a key role in creating and leading IBM\u2019s Global Services, rising to senior vice president, and building the largest and most diversified IT services organization in the industry.  He also served as senior managing director of operations for IBM Japan.
     
    Mr. Palmisano is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins University. In recognition of his leadership role as co-chair of the Council of Competitiveness\u2019 National Innovation Initiative, as well as his many business accomplishments, Mr. Palmisano was awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Humane Letters from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in September 2005.  In July 2006, he was awarded an Honorary Fellowship from the London Business School. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Rod Adkins <\/strong>leads all of IBM\u2019s global server and storage systems hardware and software development as well as semiconductor manufacturing operations.     Nick Donofrio<\/strong> is a champion for innovation across IBM and its global ecosystem and is the leader of IBM's global technology strategy. From 2000 until 2001, Mr. Amelio was executive vice president and chief operating officer of NCR Corporation's Retail and Financial Group, one of its two businesses.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Amelio was with Honeywell International Inc. and its predecessor, AlliedSignal Inc., where he was president and CEO of Honeywell\u2019s transportation and power-systems divisions, and head of the turbocharging-systems business at Allied Signal. Under Mr. Amelio, the turbocharging-systems business doubled in revenues to more than $1 billion, implemented Six Sigma and SAP, and successfully integrated acquisitions. In this role he oversaw 2,500 employees across 38 countries and his responsibilities included Services sales and marketing, Professional Services, Managed Services, Field Service delivery and logistics, and Technical Support. During his leadership, revenue grew from $60 million to $1 billion.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    From 1998 to 1999, Mr. Askew worked at Compaq Computer, where he served from as vice president and general manager, Compaq Customer Services. Before that he served as director, Compaq Customer Services, for Asia-Pacific and Japan after Compaq acquired Tandem Computers.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Prior to that, Mr. Askew was at Tandem Computers. From 1995 to 1998 he was vice president, Tandem Consulting, Integration and Services, at Tandem Computers Asia-Pacific. In that role, he was responsible for developing strategies and programs to enhance staffing, compensation, benefits, executive development, diversity, and workplace culture for Microsoft worldwide.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Before joining Microsoft in 2003, Mr. DiPietro was vice president of human resources for the Americas at Dell Inc., where he was responsible for all people planning, compensation, staffing, training and executive development.
